Welcome

Welcome to the Bulkley Valley region of the British Columbia Schizophrenia Society. We provide support and education to people living in the Bulkley Valley, with an office based in Smithers. Our local coordinator is Toby Coupé.

Services offered locally

We offer support by phone or in person to family members who have a loved one with a mental illness.  We provide family education programs such as the FREE 10 week Strengthening Families Together workshop and a monthly Family Support Group.  We offer early psychosis education to high school students with our Reaching Out program designed to help students better understand the importance of early detection and intervention and how to support a friend who may be having mental health challenges.  We advocate for needed services and treatment on behalf of families and consumers.
